INDEPENDENT IELTS PREPARATION

IELTS Academic or General Training?

اپنے مقصد کے مطابق ٹیسٹ منتخب کریں

Start with the requirements of the university, employer or other organisation receiving your result. Academic and General Training have different Reading and Writing tasks, while Listening and Speaking follow the same broad test format. Do not choose only because someone says one is easier.

Original introductory practice, not an official IELTS test or band assessment. Independent exam-specialist review is pending.

Confirm the receiving organisation’s requirement

Find the exact test type, required scores and any specific conditions directly from the receiving organisation. These requirements vary. A preparation website cannot decide eligibility for your application.

Match your materials to the test

If you need Academic, practise the appropriate reading texts and visual-information Task 1. If you need General Training, include everyday or workplace reading and letter writing. Both require purposeful preparation across four skills.

Plan around your current skills

A test choice is not an English level. A candidate may be comfortable speaking but need substantial writing practice. Use a sample of each skill to identify the areas that need attention before choosing a schedule.

One focused practice task

A practical planning task: write the name of the organisation receiving your result, its official requirement page and the exact test type it requests. Leave a field blank if you have not confirmed it yet.

Use the linked official IELTS information and the receiving organisation’s own requirements. This guide is not immigration, admissions or eligibility advice.
