OUR EDITORIAL APPROACH

Clear teaching starts with honest sources.

How we create lessons, use references, distinguish AI assistance from expert review and handle corrections.

Original lessons, checkable references

We use established teaching resources to understand a topic and its learning sequence, then create original explanations, Pakistani-context examples and exercises. We do not copy competitors’ lessons, proprietary dictionary entries or exam questions. Links are provided for further learning; a link does not imply endorsement or formal verification by that organisation.

AI assistance and human review

The initial lesson drafts, translations and practice activities were prepared with AI assistance. Independent review by a qualified bilingual educator has not yet been completed. Treat this early release as supplementary self-study material. Our review priorities are grammar, natural Urdu, level suitability, answer keys and possible ambiguity. Corrections can be sent to contact@urdutoenglish.net.

A useful lesson must do something

Each lesson introduces a specific idea, shows examples, identifies a common mistake and asks the learner to practise. We favour clear, concrete language over lengthy generic introductions. Adding words solely to target a search phrase does not make a lesson more useful.

Dictionary text has a separate provenance

Community dictionary data comes from Wiktionary through Kaikki. It is adapted under CC BY-SA 4.0, with attribution and a source link for each result. These entries can contain rare, dated, regional or inaccurate meanings. Our vocabulary cards are separate original learning examples and do not replace a comprehensive lexical reference.

Corrections and change history

Use the Contact & feedback page to prepare a report containing the lesson URL, the questionable sentence and a suggested correction, then email it to contact@urdutoenglish.net. The form prepares text locally; you send the message through your email application. Publication dates describe when content was prepared, not expert review. We record substantive corrections in the project’s content history.

No ranking or learning guarantees

Search visibility depends on many factors. A course duration is a suggested study schedule, not a fluency guarantee. The starting-point quiz is not a validated CEFR assessment. IELTS practice results are not official band scores.
